Fort Lauderdale, Fla. – November 28, 2018 – December 5 marks the Repeal of Prohibition in the United States and Gatsby’s Joint, a 1920’s speakeasy-style restaurant and bar located in North Fort Lauderdale, is celebrating with the launch of an all-new happy hour. Available weekdays from 5 to 7 p.m., beginning December 5 and continuing into 2019, the new specials give locals and tourists alike the chance to enjoy quality food and drinks at unparalleled prices.
Wines by the glass start at $3.50 and include Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio, Pinot Noir, Cabernet and Merlot. Bud Light, Corona Extra, Coors Lite, Miller Lite, and Michelob Ultra are just a handful of the 18 beers available for $3.50 each. House liquor drinks are $4 while signature cocktails, such as the Mobster Manhattan, The Flapper and Lucky Luciano’s Old Fashioned, are $7.
For $6 to $8, thoughtfully crafted small plates include Meatballs with Ricotta; Candied Bacon; Margherita Flatbread; Caprese Portobello Mushrooms; Seasoned French Fries; and Spinach Dip, Hummus and Salsa – each served with warm homemade tortilla chips.
Those staying for dinner will be treated to playful 1920’s twists on traditional upscale fare, including Capone’s Candied Bacon & Cheeses ($16); Cat’s Pajamas Chicken ($15); Gangster’s Grouper ($16); Ritzy Rigatoni with Meatballs ($13). Gourmet desserts include Baby Face Cookies & Cream ($10) and Bonnie & Clyde Salted Caramel ($10).
