Been CoVaxed Awareness Project Includes Branded Items (Beyond Masks!) to Help Public Show Support for Vaccination Efforts; 10% of Proceeds Benefit American Nurses Foundation

OAKDALE, Calif.(May 18, 2021) – Founded by California native and entrepreneur Curtis Lineberger, the ‘Been CoVaxed’ Awareness Project announced its official launch today, celebrating those who have been vaccinated against COVID-19 while helping encourage overall vaccine awareness and education. The initiative encourages those who have received a COVID-19 (coronavirus) vaccine to proudly display their vaccination status through a variety of products available online. While the line does include reusable face masks, it reflects the most recent CDC guidelines with a wide variety of items including shirts, hats, wristbands, stickers and more, with 10% of proceeds benefiting the American Nurses Foundation.

“With the news that all adult Americans are now eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine, we wanted to find a way to create a sense of celebration for those who have been vaccinated, while encouraging participation in the vaccine program,” said Lineberger. “We have a great social responsibility to educate those around us, especially now that vaccinated individuals are no longer required to wear masks indoors. It is up to us to put an end to this virus that has taken so many lives, and changed the world in which we are currently living.”

The goal of the Been CoVaxed Awareness Project is to promote immediate recognition and acceptance of COVID-19 vaccinations. Through the initiative, Lineberger hopes to alleviate any remaining stigma surrounding the vaccine.

“The project is not intended to push anyone to do something they may not feel comfortable doing,” said Lineberger. “My messaging does not say ‘Go get Vaxed.’ This project is intended to be a passive way to allow the undecided, non-vaccinated people to have a positive interaction with someone who has been vaccinated. I believe that this incremental ‘one person at a time’ approach toward getting more people on board with vaccines will result in a faster return to normalcy for our country.”

As a retired medical sales representative with a passion for public health, Lineberger was inspired to create the Been CoVaxed Awareness Project. By pledging 10% of the proceeds from sales to the American Nurses Foundation (ANF), his initiative gives back to an essential group of frontline workers who have been significantly impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. The ANF is the philanthropic arm of the American Nurses Association, the largest professional association of registered nurses in the U.S., serving hundreds of thousands of active members.
