Four Season Mountain Resort Presented With Prestigious Awards and Recognitions

The resort was honored by National Ski Areas Association, USA Today and the American Resort Development Association, highlighting the resort’s commitment to providing top of the line hospitality to guests.

Massanutten Resort was selected as a finalist for two of the National Ski Area Association (NSAA) Golden Eagle Awards: Climate Change Impact and Overall Environmental Excellence, which celebrates the best North American ski area sustainability programs. The resort was recognized for the strides in committing to carbon emission reduction and environmental stewardship over the past 18 months. The NSAA highlighted the resort’s efforts in installing solar arrays, the implementation of resort shuttles, installation of EV charging stations, and the process of upgrading the snowmaking and trail lighting to energy-efficient snow guns and LED lighting. Massanutten Resort was the only resort in the mid-Atlantic to qualify for this prestigious award this year. 

The Massanutten Indoor WaterPark was recently announced a winner in the 2023 USA Today 10Best Readers’ Choice awards for ‘Best Indoor Water Park.’ Renowned for its waterslides, leisure river, iconic Massanutten Meltdown, and the state’s first and largest FlowRider surf simulator, the WaterPark continues to receive awards year after year providing guests with an exceptional aquatic experience. 

The resort’s newest seafood restaurant, Splash’s Bar & Grill, was awarded in the resort design division of the American Resort Development Association’s 2023 awards. Designed by Hospitality Resources & Design, Inc, Splash’s was recognized in the interior design common area category. The restaurant is an energetic colorful space with pockets of entertainment to cater to guests of all ages. Honoring the various water sports at the resort, custom-designed booths give the impression of stacked inner tubes under a gazebo, complete with a backdrop of crates and lifejackets and a locally crafted bar that resembles running water. Splash’s Bar & Grill has become a popular destination for guests and locals, providing a space that enhances the list of unique amenities at Massanutten Resort.
