PARK CIRCLE AXE-THROWING HANGOUT REBRANDS AS THE BEARDED AX

Local Axe-Throwing Lounge Relaunches as Independent Establishment

Charleston, SC – March 3, 2020 – The Bearded Ax, an axe-throwing business doubling as a bar and lounge located at 1077 East Montague Avenue, today reopened its doors as an independently owned standalone company. Formerly known as Blade & Bull Axe Throwing, the North Charleston staple is now owned and operated by husband-and-wife team Ian and Kat Smith, and will continue to serve the Park Circle community, offering axe-throwing activities, local beer, wine and more.

“We’re incredibly excited for this new chapter,” said Ian Smith, Owner/Operator of The Bearded Ax. “We are so appreciative of the opportunity to partner with Blade & Bull in our first year of operation. It’s bittersweet to part ways, but we look forward to focusing all of our efforts on the Park Circle location, welcoming returning and new guests and continuing to grow our local presence. The axe-throwing fanbase has been growing exponentially and we look forward to spreading the sport in Charleston.”

Equipped with 12 wooden axe-throwing lanes, The Bearded Ax also offers an extensive drink menu featuring 60 different brands of local and domestic beer, as well as wine and mead. Guests are invited to bring in their own snacks or food items as well.

The Bearded Ax will celebrate its relaunch with two charity events, at which all guests will enjoy free axe-throwing throughout the afternoon. See below for more details:
