Fort Lauderdale, Fla. – December 18, 2018 – Gatsby’s Joint, a speakeasy-themed restaurant and bar located in North Fort Lauderdale, today announced that it will host its first-ever 1920’s-inspired New Year’s Eve celebration.   Beginning at 5 p.m. on the big night, the restaurant will offer a three-course menu, welcome cocktails, sparkling wine and a variety of delectable dishes, with live music by the Funky Blues Band as the backdrop.

“For those looking to ring in the New Year in style, Gatsby’s Joint is the perfect spot for a festive and memorable celebration,” said Elaine Krieger, founder and owner of Gatsby’s Joint. “We’re excited to offer our guests something truly unique and very special – a laid-back, comfortable, yet upscale experience with live entertainment, dancing, quality food and drinks and much more!”

Revelers heading to Gatsby’s Joint for New Year’s Eve will create incredible memories.  Two options are available – for $45 per person, guests will enjoy their choice of an appetizer, entrée and dessert; those who upgrade to the VIP package for $95 per person will enjoy welcome cocktails, an added wine pairing for each course and a sparkling wine toast at midnigh

South Florida’s popular Funky Blues Band will perform live from 8:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. Known for their dynamic chemistry, the group plays a variety of blues – from mean Texas shuffles to swing, funky blues and rock and roll. Certain to have guests moving and grooving during the 2019 countdown, the Funky Blues Band has received local and regional recognition over the past few years, including placing first in the 2016 South Florida Blues Society’s Blues Challenge and earning a coveted spot in the prestigious International Blues Challenge in Memphis, Tenn. 

Guests are encouraged to dress in their favorite prohibition-era 1920’s attire, with prizes awarded to the best dressed male and female.
