New Caribbean-American Fusion Restaurant at Sonesta Fort Lauderdale Beach
Now Serving Everyone’s Favorite Meal
Fort Lauderdale, FL – September 27, 2019 – Recently opened Caribbean-American fusion restaurant, Steelpan, is now offering an island-inspired brunch. Featuring the multi-cultural flavors of South Florida, Steelpan is inviting guests to revel in the Florida sunshine while overlooking the golden coastline as they enjoy a weekend brunch Saturdays or Sundays from opening to 2 p.m.
“We are excited to continue to expand our menu and open our doors to guests for a delicious new way to brunch,” says Eduardo Fernandez, General Manager of Sonesta Fort Lauderdale Beach. “At Steelpan, our goal is to cater to travelers and locals alike, offering menus that evolve from day to evening.”
The newly introduced brunch menu offers a variety of playful breakfast items unique to Steelpan including the “Island French Toast” (pictured left), stuffed with guava and cream cheese and topped with cinnamon dust and seasonal berries. Classic options are also available including eggs Benedict with a choice of smoked salmon or Canadian bacon and the Chef’s omelet, which varies daily.
For guests with a heartier appetite, Steelpan’s brunch menu also includes “Steak & Eggs” island-style – featuring a 10 oz. Delmonico ribeye steak, two eggs sunny side up, smashed breakfast potatoes, poblano crema, and tomato salad. Both days offer a bottomless option which is sure to set the tone for a weekend of relaxation. Unlimited mimosas, Prosecco, and Bloody Mary’s are available for $18 per person, plus tax and gratuity.
As with Steelpan’s breakfast, lunch and dinner menus, the new brunch menu features fresh, locally sourced ingredients in all dishes thoughtfully curated by Chef Kevin Baker. Weekend brunch is one of the many offerings Steelpan has for travelers and the local community including a recently launched live music program three nights a week – inviting in musicians from varied backgrounds, ongoing mixology lessons, and all-day drink specials. Guests are invited to bask in the sun and ocean breeze at Steelpan’s (pictured right) oceanfront patio as they enjoy a taste of the Caribbean.
