Fort Lauderdale, FL – October 24, 2018 – Toyota is turning up the heat at this year’s Walgreens Gridiron Grill-Off Food, Wine & Music Festival presented by the UHealth Clinic at Walgreens, taking place November 9-11 in South Florida. Returning to the 2018 festival as a new naming rights sponsor, Toyota announced enhanced programming as part of this year’s festivities.

On Saturday, November 10 and Sunday, November 11, Toyota will team up with the American Cornhole League (ACL) to introduce a variety of games and tournaments taking place throughout the festival weekend at the Toyota Cornhole Stadium & Festival Stage. Event goers will have the opportunity to test their skills against John Offerdahl himself in the Celebrity Cornhole Challenge, participate in the Single Elimination Cornhole Tournament, or simply sit back and watch as the pros compete in the ACL Pro Celebrity Throwdown.

In addition to displaying several brand-new Toyota vehicles at the main event, Toyota will loan vehicles perfect for tailgating to some of Florida’s most influential personalities in food, fashion and travel so they may arrive at the event in style. Each local celebrity will drive a 2018 Toyota vehicle for a full week, leading up to the festival weekend. Some of these personalities will even participate in the Tito’s Tailgate Competition, where one lucky tailgater will win a grand cash prize provided by Tito’s Handmade Vodka.

“It’s thanks to sponsors like Toyota that we are able to expand our annual festival and in turn, enhance the overall guest experience,” said John Offerdahl, festival founder and former Miami Dolphins All-Pro Linebacker. “I am particularly looking forward to the cornhole games and tournaments where guests will have several opportunities to compete for cash prizes and help us

raise money for the Offerdahl’s Hand-Off Foundation to feed the needs of those in crisis in our community.”
