City of South Fulton Celebrates Return of Popular Outdoor Venue;
Several Music Festivals and Performances Scheduled for Summer and Fall

SOUTH FULTON, Ga. – August 1, 2023 – The City of South Fulton Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) today announced the reopening of its popular Wolf Creek Amphitheater, which has several live music events slated for August and September. Kicking off a new season in the beautiful outdoor amphitheater is the A-Town Music Festival on Saturday, August 5, followed by the Atlanta Funk Fest Friday, August 18, and Saturday, August 19. On Saturday, September 9, the venue will welcome award-winning artist Charlie Wilson and special guest, Tank.

“The Wolf Creek Amphitheater is a world-class outdoor event venue and a favorite amongst both Atlanta locals and visitors,” said Kathryn Earley, tourism manager for the City of South Fulton CVB. “We are excited to officially welcome a new season of live outdoor music in South Fulton, and look forward to several incredible performances already on the calendar.”

Wolf Creek AmphitheaterA-Town Music Fest (Saturday, August 5) – Headlined by renowned Atlanta-born rapper T.I., the A-Town Music Fest will bring together music artists and enthusiastic fans to celebrate 50 years of hip-hop. Attendees will experience the passion and heart of rap music as expressed through some of Atlanta’s most celebrated talents. Atlanta Funk Fest (Friday, August 18 and Saturday, August 19) – The Wolf Creek Amphitheater is welcoming back the popular Atlanta Funk Fest for the first time since the pandemic. Performers include R&B singers and songwriters Jazmine Sullivan, Ella Mai, Keith Sweat and others. Charlie Wilson with Special Guest Tank (Saturday, September 9) – American singer-songwriter Charlie Wilson will perform with special guest Tank on September 9. An award-winning performer, Wilson was once the frontman for the R&B/funk group “The Gap Band,” with hits such as “You Dropped a Bomb on Me” and “Early in the Morning.” Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. and the show will follow at 7 p.m. Tickets start at $65 and can be purchased here.

The Wolf Creek Amphitheater, located at 3025 Merk Road, is a world-class outdoor event venue. Situated on a 435-acre wooded site, the venue provides the perfect location for outdoor live music concerts, plays, performances and festivals.
