Guests Donating an Unused School Supply at Box Office Will Receive 40% Off

Adult Admission; ‘Chivalry in Action’ Team to Assemble & Deliver

750 Backpacks Filled with Supplies to Local Students This Fall

ATLANTA – (July 1, 2019) – Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament’s Atlanta Castle is dedicated to “Chivalry in Action” and in honor of its philanthropic mission, today announced the launch of its largest-ever back to school drive.  Now through July 28, guests who donate an unused school supply when visiting the family-favorite attraction will receive 40% off an adult ticket.*

“School supplies can be expensive and receiving a brand new backpack filled with every supply imaginable will make a world of difference to local students who may not have the resources to secure these things on their own,” said Louis Ruocco, general manager of Medieval Times Atlanta. “We encourage the local community to purchase a school supply and come out to the castle, enjoying a fun evening with the family while giving back to a very worthwhile cause.”

Guests must purchase a ticket at the box office when presenting their donation in order to receive the discounted adult ticket, which is $34, representing a savings of 40%.  Eligible donations include paper, pens and pencils, notebooks, binders, crayons, colored pencils, highlighters, erasers, glue, rulers, calculators and scissors. On July 31, the Medieval Times Atlanta team – from squires to the Queen herself – will assemble 750 backpacks filled with supplies.  Backpacks will be delivered in a fun surprise moment to pre-selected Atlanta-area schools.

Those who visit the castle can enjoy Medieval Times Atlanta’s new, female-led show – the first in the company’s history. Queen Doña Maria Isabella, now the sole ruler, presides over a tournament of knights who gather in celebration to test their skill against one another in a series of games, jousting, and combat. Guests will still find plenty of what they’ve come to love in the new show including incredible displays of horsemanship and an amazing four-course feast.
